The Washington, D.C.–based Shakespeare Theatre Company is planning a Family Festival around the December 15 matinee of A Midsummer Night's Dream at the company's Sidney Harman Hall.
The Saturday “A Midafternoon's Dream” starts with the play at 2 p.m. Following the show, families will get a sneak peek at the magic behind the illusions on stage, as well as a party with family-friendly activities featuring fun snacks and drinks and the chance to meet the stars of the show.
Tickets are $125 each and include premium seating for the performance, the party, behind-the-scenes experience, and activities. To purchase tickets, call 202-547-3230 ext. 2312 or e-mail twagener@shakespearetheatre.org.
“A Midafternoon's Dream” is part of Family Week, during which STC provides free tickets to every performance to families in underserved communities.
STC is also accepting $500 gifts to sponsor one military family from the greater D.C. area to attend this event. In conjunction with USO-Metro, STC will invite a family to attend at no cost.
